New Partnership Supports Workforce Pathways for Youth in Parks and Recreation

Happy to continue my work with the National Recreation and Parks Association. NRPA has received a three-year, $2 million grant from the US Department of Labor to understand, develop, and scale workforce pathways for you in parks and recreation. The work will focus on Mount Airy, NC, and Robeson County, NC, and will include high school students being interested to Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management as a college degree and career path. We will continue to highlight our strong 400-hour internship program in PRTM as well as the university-wide 2+2 program with NC Community Colleges and NC State’s Rural Works!
