About Our Research
We use a variety of social science methods to address outdoor recreation and natural resource management issues. Our research is designed to help scientists, land managers, and the general public understand, communicate, and collaboratively respond to emerging conservation challenges, working toward a sustainable future. To accomplish these goals, we focus on three broad themes in “human dimensions” research:
- Natural Resource Management & Conservation
- Outdoor Recreation, Health & Well-being
- Environmental Education & Stewardship
Current and past lab projects, as well as corresponding publications and presentations, are typically related to one of these overarching research themes. For more details about our Lab’s research agenda, check out Dr. Larson’s statement of research interests.
