Whitten. The Center funded an extended teaching &amp; research appointment for Dr. Lucia at Tokyo Metropolitan University near Tokyo, Japan, from where he accepted an Assistant Professorship of Chemistry at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He went on to be appointed as a full-time graduate faculty at North Carolina State University where he maintains status as faculty in Fiber &amp; Polymer Science and Environmental Sciences and maintains appointments in the Departments of Forest Biomaterials and Chemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has co-founded and co-edits an open-access international research journal,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"mailto:www.bioresources.com\">BioResources<\/a><\/em>, that is dedicated to original research articles, reviews, and editorials on the fundamental science &amp;
