My research efforts focus on projects that have impact on forest management, as well as scientific innovation. Current projects include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Genomic marker applications in breeding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breeding strategies to balance genetic gain in the short-term and long-term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seed orchard efficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Realized genetic gain of forest growth and yield<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conservation genetics for <em>Pinus palustris<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"ncst-fancy-paragraph-fifty is-text wp-block-ncst-fancy-paragraph\">\n      \n<div class=\"text-only wp-block-ncst-fp-accompaniment\">\n    \n\n<p>My research leverages Cooperative Tree Improvement Program support to encourage funding from federal, state, and non-profit partners. Access to a breeding facility allows propagation of well-designed populations to robustly test hypotheses. Cooperative members plant and measure field trials for research that benefits their operations.
