8.10.20 – Welcome

Dr. Zakiya Leggett is welcoming two new students to the Forestry and Environmental Resources graduate program this Fall.  Asija Rice received her undergraduate degree in Urban Forestry from Southern University and A&M College, and Thomas Barnes studied Forestry at Clemson University.  Both will be starting Master’s degrees in Forestry this semester!

7.31.20 – Congratulations and farewell!

Kelsey Bakken has officially completed all requirements to complete her M.S. degree in Forestry!  She will be remaining in the Triangle area, and will be working in a contracted position with the United States Forest Service Southern Research Station in Research Triangle Park.

6.10.20 – Great Work Kelsey!

Congratulations to Kelsey Bakken on her successful defense!  She has finished her work studying bitternut hickory mortality in Northern Wisconsin, and will graduate this summer.

4.10.20 – Upcoming Defenses

Send Kelsey Bakken and David Dick your positive thoughts and energy as they complete their theses.  Kelsey’s defense is tentatively schedule for May 22nd, with a time and Zoom link to be published later.  David plans to defend soon too, with his date still pending.  Keep writing!

8.20.19 – Congratulations Lauren!

Recently discussing the results of project, “Hart’s Mill Ecovillage and Farm: A case study on applying the theory of diffusion of innovation to evaluate adoption of QR codes among older adults” Lauren Lintz has graduated with her Master’s in Natural Resources, Assessment and Analysis technical option. Best of luck to Lauren!
