Inspiring the next generation

Since 2002, Dr. Pasquinelli and her team have been actively involved with mentoring >20 high school students interested in STEM on research projects through ACS Project SEED program and other programs; see full list here.  Based on their projects in her laboratory, many of these high school students have won science competitions at local, regional, and state levels, as well as other awards, including prestigious scholarships such as Parks and Goodnight at NC State. Most of these students attended (or are attending) higher education in a STEM field.

Dr. Pasquinelli also serves as a technical judge for regional science competitions, about 3 a year [2000-current], while being careful to avoid conflicts of interest with her own mentees.
