Igniting Leaders of Recreation’s Future
Teaching, Research, and Creative Works/Resources
Recreation and leisure industries are transforming rapidly and NC State’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management and the College of Natural Resources are educating the future leaders of our professions. While you might hear “parks and rec” and think of the funny TV show, students from our programs leave college ready to innovate, transform communities, and facilitate wellness for participants across diverse ages, identities, and levels of access/ability. I’m honored and excited to be a part of their journey!
How can I help you?
If you are a current, potential, or former student, please let me know how I can help connect you with your dream career, next outdoor recreation destination, wellness resources, or favorite seafood (I’m a co-owner of Current Wellness in downtown Raleigh with my partner, Brit, and a part-time oyster shucker with Locals Seafood when I’m not teaching or traveling). I’d love to have you in one of my courses but am also happy to chat in person, by phone, or in Horizon Worlds.
