Digital Engagement Project 1.  Environmental Education and Outreach.  Seeking student to develop brief discussion guides to accompany videos focused on environmental justice in Milwaukee.  The hired student will be responsible for the content and design of educational materials, publishing videos and educational materials online, and advertising them to potential user groups (e.g. Milwaukee teachers and environmental educators). Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending on experience and interest.

Digital Engagement Project 2: Video production and interview support.

Seeking students to compile and create data management systems for stock video clips, completing video editing tasks, build a web presence for the project, manage participant recruitment, complete transcription, and occasionally attend events in the community. Most work will relate to on-going efforts to study recovery efforts following Hurricane Matthew. Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending on experience and interest.

Pay:  $10-18/hr depending on qualifications. This employment does not come with benefits or tuition waivers.

Qualifications:

Eligible to work for the university for up to 5 hours per week.
Demonstrated educational or extracurricular experience relevant to the opportunity.
Organized and able to work independently.
Permission of graduate advisor (if graduate student).
Able to commit to working at least through the end of the spring 2018 semester (employment thereafter will depend on the quality of work and availability of funds).
Familiarity with the content areas (environmental justice, disaster recovery) is highly desired but not required.
