The TAPPI NanoDivision Mid-Career Award recognizes individuals, with less than 20 years past the date of their latest degree, for their outstanding accomplishments or contributions that have helped advance the industry’s technology in renewable nanomaterials.
Lavoine group research activities on the development and engineering of advanced sustainable materials from biomass and renewable nanomaterials were recognized through this award, along with Lavoine’s involvement in the leadership of the TAPPI Nano Division since 2016.
